Warnings to all registered users of any version 2 Control Strip Menu:
(1) if you install this version (version 3.0.2), Control Strip Menu will start reminding you to register again. You can use the new version but it will continue to remind you each time you start up the Mac. If you look in the Register pane in the preferences, you'll see that Control Strip Menu is running as an unregistered version.
This is a major upgrade and it has many improvements, so I have decided to increase the fee to US$15. Here’s the deal:
• if you registered between July and October 1996 inclusive, you can upgrade for free. Contact me (Vincent) for a version 3.0 registration code via e-mail at <mailto:vtan@mail.usyd.edu.au>
• otherwise the upgrade fee is US$5. When you fill in the registration form, be sure to select "I wish to upgrade" and to use the same registration name so I can find your previous registration.
(2) if you do not change any preferences and decide to go back to your old version 2 Control Strip Menu, you will not have to register the version 2 module again - it will function as a registered version and not remind you to register. However, if you change any preference whilst using version 3 (including re-ordering your strip) and you later revert back to your version 2 Control Strip Menu, you will have to re-register it because your previous registration information will have been erased when you changed preferences.
